Free Veteran Suicide Training in Caldwell
A free training seminar on veteran suicide crisis intervention and the COMPACT Act will be held on Thursday, March 27, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The event will take place at the Caldwell Veterans Memorial Hall located at 1101 Cleveland Blvd., Caldwell, Idaho, 83605.
The seminar will cover topics such as understanding the Comprehensive Prevention, Access to Care, and Treatment (COMPACT) Act, recognizing suicide warning signs, and learning effective questioning, persuasion, and referral techniques. Participants will also learn about the use of crisis centers, mobile crisis units, and services available at the Boise VA Medical Center.
Coffee will be provided by the Caldwell Veterans Memorial Hall Coffee Clutch. Veterans are eligible for free emergency suicide care.
