Cold Front Brings Wind, Rain, and Snow Tonight
A cold front is expected to move from northwest to southeast across east Oregon and southwest Idaho, beginning Sunday morning and continuing through Sunday night. The National Weather Service in Boise, Idaho, noted that the passage of the front will result in gusty winds, rain showers, and mountain snow. Snow levels are forecast to lower throughout the day, reaching between 5,500 and 6,500 feet by Sunday evening.

Reported chances of precipitation in some locations include 100% at one site, 97% in Riggins, 98% in McCall, 99% in Yellow Pine, 96% in Stanley, 94% in Pine, 95% in Council, 98% in Cascade, 98% in Deadwood, 93% in Idaho City, 88% in Emmett, 81% in Caldwell, 85% in Boise, 82% in Weiser, 75% in Ontario, 82% in Murphy, 74% in Grand View, 72% in Mountain Home, 59% in Twin Falls, 49% in Burley, 33% in Fields, 18% in Denio, 54% in Burns Junction, 67% in Juntura, 50% in Jordan Valley, 61% in Crowley, and 78% in John Day. Additional locations reported chances of 84%, 90%, and 89%.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to prepare for changing weather conditions including strong winds and a mix of rain and snow, particularly in mountainous regions where lower snow levels are expected by the evening.
