Idaho Ski Resorts Brace for Short-Lived Snowfall

The U.S. National Weather Service in Boise, Idaho, issued a snowfall forecast for Tuesday, November 25, 5 p.m. MST through Thursday, November 27, 5 p.m. MST. The forecast predicts 4-6 inches of snow at Ski Resort locations, while Anthony Lakes is expected to receive 1-2 inches. Additional ski resort locations with lighter snowfall amounts include Baker Summit, Bogus Basin, Brundage, Magic Mountain, Mores Creek, Pomerelle, Soldier Mountain, Sun Valley, and Tamarack, all expected to receive 1-2 inches.

McCall and Yellow Pine are forecast to receive 2-3 inches of snowfall. Challis is expected to see 1-2 inches, and Cascade, Lowman, and Stanley are forecast to receive about 1 inch of snow. A group of ski resorts – including John Day, Unity, Sumpter, Halfway, Joseph, Riggins, Idaho City, Emmett, Caldwell, Boise, Mountain Home, Gooding, Jerome, and Twin Falls – are not expected to receive any snowfall during this period.
