Idaho Forecast: Dry Weekend, Rain and Snow Midweek

The US National Weather Service in Boise, Idaho reported that the weekend will remain dry with warmer than normal temperatures. Forecasts indicate that a frontal system from the Pacific will bring precipitation to the region from late Monday through midweek. In the valleys, the warmer temperatures are expected to maintain the precipitation as rain, while higher elevation areas in the mountains may see snowfall beginning Wednesday and continuing thereafter.

The forecast includes detailed temperature information for several locations. Below are the projected morning low and afternoon high temperatures (in °F) for select cities:

Baker City is forecast to have highs ranging from 51°F on Saturday to 43°F by Wednesday, with a low of 25°F on Saturday and a low of 29°F on Wednesday. In Boise, temperatures are expected to rise to 57°F on Saturday and peak at 56°F on Tuesday, with lows starting from 33°F on Saturday and falling to 33°F on Thursday. Burns will see afternoon highs of up to 54°F on Saturday, with lows starting at 20°F on Saturday and reaching 22°F by Thursday. Caldwell is projected to have highs around 52°F to 49°F with lows from 28°F on Saturday to 28°F by Thursday.

This level of detail in the official forecast should help residents in the area prepare for both the dry and milder weekend weather as well as the upcoming period of precipitation early next week.
