San Diego County Parks Department Hosts Alternative Spring Break

San Diego — The County of San Diego Parks and Recreation Department is hosting an Alternative Spring Break volunteer event from Saturday, March 28, through Sunday, April 5, with dates and locations varying. Please visit sdparks.org/calendar for details.

The project invites participants to spend spring break volunteering alongside college students from across San Diego. The weeklong service series focuses on hands-on park restoration, outdoor learning, and community impact. Participants can join for one day or the full week.

Open to students from San Diego State University, the University of San Diego, the University of California, San Diego, and local community colleges.

What to bring: closed-toe shoes, water, and sun protection. Tools and guidance are provided.
