**Snowstorm Brings Heavy Accumulations to the Region**

The U.S. National Weather Service in Boise, Idaho, has released a snowfall report for the period between 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 6, and 5 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2025. Snow totals vary widely across the region, with mountainous areas experiencing the heaviest accumulation.

### Snowfall Totals:

- **8-12 inches** fell in higher elevation locations, including Ski Resort, Anthony Lakes, Banner Summit, Bogus Basin, Brundage, Magic Mountain, Mores Creek, Pomerelle, Soldier Mountain, Sun Valley, Tamarack, and Trinity Mountain.

- **6-12 inches** were reported in the John Day area.

- **4-6 inches** accumulated in Burns, Juntura, La Grande, Baker City, Halfway, Joseph, and Sumpter.

- **3-4 inches** of snow covered lower-elevation locations such as Ontario, Emmett, Caldwell, and Boise.

- **2-3 inches** fell in Weiser, Idaho City, and Lowman.

- **1-2 inches** were measured in Jordan Valley.

### Weather Warnings:

The storm also brought strong winds to certain areas, particularly near the Idaho-Nevada border and Magic Valley. Gusts reached speeds of up to 55 mph, creating hazardous travel conditions, especially in the mountains. Travelers are urged to exercise caution.

Authorities are continuing to monitor conditions as the storm progresses.
