Overall, the region is expected to experience a warm and dry week through Friday. High temperatures for many locations are predicted to stay in the 80s and low 90s during this period.

A shift is expected next weekend when a trough of low pressure is forecast to affect the region. According to the guidance, there is a 70–80% chance that valley high temperatures on Saturday, the 21st, will drop below 65°F. For example, Baker City is expected to have a high of 61°F and Boise 71°F on Saturday, compared to much warmer readings during the week. Other locations such as Brock, Caldwell, and Burns show similar trends with cooler temperatures forecasted next Saturday.
