Boise Heat Peaks, Then Gradual Temperature Drop

The US National Weather Service in Boise has issued a six‐day forecast for high temperatures across the region. On Thursday, temperatures are expected to reach highs of 99°F in both Boise and Caldwell. Baker City is forecast to have a high of 92°F, while Burns could see a temperature of 94°F. Other locations, such as Banner Summit and Brundage Mountain, are expected to have highs of 76°F and 74°F, respectively.

Friday’s forecast shows similar high readings with Boise at 98°F and Caldwell at 99°F. Baker City is again expected to hit 92°F, and Burns is predicted to be slightly cooler at 93°F. Temperatures at other locations follow a similar trend with Banner Summit at 78°F and Brundage Mountain at 76°F.

The weekend and early next week will see gradually cooling temperatures. Saturday is forecast to have highs of 95°F in Boise and 87°F in Baker City. On Sunday, Boise is expected to be at 92°F while Baker City should reach 84°F. Monday’s temperatures are forecast to cool further with Boise reaching 91°F and Baker City at 81°F. Tuesday’s forecast shows additional cooling, with Boise at 90°F and Baker City returning to 82°F.

Other locations such as Bogus Basin, Jerome, and Idaho City received readings that follow a similar cooling trend into next week. The forecast provides specific temperature details for each area from Thursday through Tuesday, offering residents updated information on the gradual temperature decrease following the initial hot period.
